We had a lovely stay in a small but well-appointed room at a charming inn. the gardens were stunning and we enjoyed exploring an area of the property we never knew existed. the staff were friendly and attentive, and the service at dinner was outstanding. Our breakfast was satisfying, although we wished there were more cooked options available. the location was convenient, with easy access to pubs and restaurants in the main area of the town.
The staff, although young and attentive, weren't very helpful with providing local tourist information.

Everything was good at that hotel. We had canopy beds and we all slept well. Nice touristic places like Harvest Gallery were adjacent to the venue. We will choose it for sure next trip next year.
No issues.

Stayed in a picturesque B&B on a romantic getaway. the rooms had a two-person hot tub and beautiful gardens. Excellent homemade breakfast offered and friendly staff. It was located near many of the wineries and popular tourist attractions.
No elevator and some rooms were far from the main house. the air conditioning was quite loud and uncomfortable.

The House that Ships Built
In general: As a history teacher, I loved this Inn! The house has a fascinating history and is beautiful inside. Very Victorian, which is enhanced by the wonderful service, tea at four, gorgeous flowers on the grounds, and excellent cuisine. The room was comfortable, spacious and the whirlpool was a nice feature. Location and surroundings: Wolfville is a perfect size town, with a lovely university and near many historic sites such as Grand Pre. We visited 2 historic house museums, and drove out to Blue Beach the next morning. Service: We did not use room service, but the staff were delightful to chat with. Dining: We bought the Overnight Gourmet Getaway package. It was a five course meal, and was very good. Not overly rich with sauces, but lovely meat and vegetables, and dessert. I want to mention Colin, who introduced me to Hodge Podge, and some of the Nova Scotian dishes that I hope to try next time I visit. He was also very knowledgable about the house and took time to tell me some of its history. Breakfast was plentiful and again, service was very friendly and efficient. Sports and leisure: not applicable. Useful tips: Plenty of free parking and easy access. We stayed in Halifax our first night and had to pay exorbitant parking located on the premises.

It is a beautiful and historic mansion and we've been guests there many times.
The Blomidon needs to re-decorate. The dark woodwork contributes to a dark feel. Even though it is a house with history, it need not maintain the look of 19th darkness and weak lighting.

The service was Nova Scotia friendly and extremely welcoming. The restaurant at the hotel was marvelous and delicious. The room was big enough to just sit back and relax in a quiet inviting space. I loved it and would recommend this Hotel. The Hotel was on the Main St and easy to find since it was the biggest on the block.
Service, food and it's quiet atmosphere.

The website presented a unique character style structure...a little bit of Canadiana, but with rooms that were recently updated + well appointed. The actual experience at Blomiden was authentic to what was presented on the web.
The only negative was getting the luggage from the car to the room. Many stairs. An older person w health issues would never attempt it nor would a diabled person.

This is an inn with a lot of character, and charm, great service comfortable beds and excellent food.
Air conditioning in the corridor could be improved. Buy a new toaster so that it does not take forever to toast bread, and better selection of breads at breakfast, as well as cheeses, cold cuts.

Very warem and friendly first off The girl in the gift shop was a sweet heart and even offered to take our picture. We did not have supper there. We decided to go down to the Port Pub which was really nice. Loved sotting outside on the grounds. I would have liked to see a hot tub in the room as that is one of the bonus features we enjoyed on our last stay at the Ginger bread house.
No hot tub!!!!!!! An out door pool would have been nice as there is not alot to do!
